Today there are many ways to find a person, with modern technology all the time making the world smaller and smaller it is easier than ever to find people and their information. You can find a persons address, where they work, their age, dates of birth and just about anything else if you get the skills needed to do it.

It does not take long just to get a few basic skills that anyone can learn to find a person or their information. Most of the searches one does today all start out the same way. That is they are very basic and then after the investigation has started and the work has begun they may branch out into more advanced type of searches.

There are some basic tools that you need in order to begin to do the research. You will need a good telephone and one or more telephone books from the area where the person lives or you suspect that they live and a computer and good fast interent connection. If you can't get these on your own you can visit your local library where you can get interenet access and also have access to reference materials that may help you in your search.

Many times the library with have many different copies of the telephone book. Basically now days each company has their own phone book. AT&T will have their own book, Sprint will have a book and SBC will have a book. There probably be more that this but that is all I can think of at the moment. So the library should have copies of all these.

The library will also have old phone books from previous years which can prove to be very valuable. Because a person or their information may not be in one phone book but may be in older phone books that is why it is such a good idea to check.
